Tri 4 Schools is unique in that we do not use race entry fees to help cover our costs. Instead, we work with businesses, individuals, and grants to offset our costs so that 100% of our race entry fees go back to schools.
After each race, our entry fees are sorted by participants per school and 75% of that dollar amount is sent to that school. These funds can be used for any program, equipment, or other resource that gets kids active or teaches them about health and nutrition.
The remaining 25% is put into our Tri 4 Schools grant, which is given to one or more schools at the end of the year to help support large-scale initiatives. To learn more about our grant system and scholarships, click here.
Our very first race in 2011 raised nearly $10,000! The school with the most participants received over $600 from Tri 4 Schools.
In 2012, 75% of all entry fees were distributed among the schools of our participants; 25% was divided equally between five schools in Dane County with the highest percentage of economically disadvantaged children.
In 2013, we donated just under $50,000 in health and fitness resources to area schools.

But we also depend on support from people like you. Please visit our Donate page and consider making a financial contribution to help us continue to serve the children in our communities.
