Training Tips

Our biggest goal for Tri 4 Schools events is that our participants have a fun, safe time, and are successful in finishing the race!  With that in mind, here are some resources we’ve found to be helpful in preparing for a triathlon:


Occasionally we offer pre-race clinics or other classes on several topics surrounding exercise and nutrition. Additionally, if there are other ideas for classes you’d like to see, let us know! You can reach us through the Contact Us page as well as on Facebook and Twitter.

Training Programs

We are proud to offer several training plans for the Tri 4 Schools triathlons! There are basic plans that focus on increasing your cardiovascular and muscular strength, and a triathlon-specific training program. Each includes a tracking worksheet and point system to get you towards your goal of 60 minutes of movement every day! Be sure to read the instructions beforehand in order to understand how the plans work. Happy training!

There are lots of other youth multisport events in the area that provide a positive experience and allow kids to get a great workout! These are not Tri 4 Schools events, but are still an awesome way to introduce your children to multisport.
