Volunteer for a Tri 4 Schools Youth Event

Nothing beats the smiles of our athletes crossing the finish line and you can have front row seat! Volunteering with Tri 4 Schools is both easy and fun – no experience necessary!

Volunteers receive a “Difference Maker” volunteer shirt to wear while volunteering and refreshments during race shifts.

Individuals age 16 and older can sign up to volunteer on their own; those younger than age 16 can volunteer with their parent or guardian onsite. Volunteers of any age should fill out the volunteer form below. Volunteering with a friend is double the fun; if you would like to be staffed in the same location as a friend, please note that request in the comments section on the form.

To volunteer at an event, please fill out our Volunteer Form below and we will contact you with further details.

Health and Safety

We want to keep you informed on the ways we keep our volunteers safe.  Here are a few things you can expect when volunteering at a Tri 4 Schools event:

  • Volunteers have an area captain who will provide them with any materials and training needed for their role on the morning of the race and will assist with any questions or concerns throughout the volunteer shift.
  • Our volunteer locations at the event sites are primarily outdoor locations.
  • Hand sanitizing and/or hand washing opportunities will be available for all volunteers throughout their shift.
  • We ask that any volunteer, spectator, or participant who is feeling any symptoms of illness refrain from attending the event. If a volunteer determines that they will be unable to attend during race weekend, they should contact the Race Director using the information provided in the pre-race emails.

Thank you to our official Volunteer Sponsor, Elements Massage of Fitchburg & Middleton!

Volunteer or Coach with our Youth Training Teams

Tri 4 Schools is always looking for adult coaches (paid position) and volunteers (age 16 or older) to help make our events and Training Team programs a success. Volunteer roles include: Lifeguards, Swim Lesson Assistants, Transition Clinic Assistants, and Assistant Coaches.

Training Team locations and schedules vary; please fill out our Volunteer form if you are interested learning more about volunteer opportunities or email rhagen@tri4schools.org if you would like to find out more about paid coaching positions.
